CRACKS IN THE GLASS

LOOT LIST

VIDEO REPORT

Marbleman’s first and only solo project from 2018. A very nice, yet somewhat twisted city mission. Although a Thief 2 creation, the city design resembles vibes from the first game more than for its sequel. The lighting and sounds design are top notch, far above what you would expect from a new author. Escape to your hideout in Wayside and explore the bewildering geometries of these warped streets. Do not miss this one, fellas.

The streets south of my hideout were tense, but pretty straight forward. Tight and plentiful patrols forced me to move slow in most areas. I could reach the balconies north of Paolo’s inn without taking the guard’s key by mantling up the porch cover and then jumping across (left image below). I don’t like picking keys off guards if I can avoid it for Supreme.

In the lower streets I had a slightly tough time getting the loot from the toolbox. The patrolling guard gave a first alert if passing me, so I scooted out of the way and did it in two rounds, avoiding the looks of the stationary archer to the west also.

Once in my hideout, I got further directions to get an item from the keepers in Crockett Park, as well as visit Paolo’s place for some more information, plus 2,100 in loot. After this I chose to take the northwestern route, through the basement leading to a mansion. No other issues arrived until the second floor of said mansion. The southern bedroom door had to be picked open. Dodging the guard was one thing, but the nobleman inside easily heard the lockpicks. I found I could use my tools when he was stationed in the southwestern corner of the room (right image above). I also found a tiny spot on top of the bookcase where I was hidden. From here I took the loot and left. Accessed the woman’s bedroom via the cold storage chute, in order to avoid picking her door. I like to minimize those, if possible. The rest of this building was easy.

The rest of the mission was pretty straight forward. Like before, lots of patrollers in the streets, so I treated carefully. A few places I was able to avoid picking locks by taking an alternate route. Especially between Montgomery Square and the streets around the mansion there were two locked doors that I circumvented by backtracking. Managed to close up all the doors and gates as well. Didn’t need to pick up any keys either, so none were needed to be returned. Great mission!
